No-knead jalapeño skillet bread – can we talk about this bread, guys? Fast fresh baked bread with no kneading with jalapeños and cheese – heaven.

I love baking bread, especially kneading. It’s just a peaceful process for me and ift seems like a mini miracle every time I pull a gorgeous, yummy loaf out of the oven. And the smells! So, I had put off trying one of the no knead bread recipes that are so popular. I mean, no kneading – what’s the point? I know, time! Well, I had one of those moments the other day where I really needed to bake some bread and the time just wasn’t there.

I thought, why not? It will be better than no bread at all.

Wow, Just. Wow  I have joined the no knead believers! I think I loved the crust the best. This coming from someone who always gives some of the crust to my doggies. The crust is crisp, and tastes so good with the olive oil and sea salt added at the end. I was skeptical about the crumb and texture, but this bread is fabulous. Mine did turn out a little heavier than my go to everyday bread recipe, but then again, it’s more of an artisan bread than sandwich loaf.

I’ve also added roasted garlic and dried rosemary to the dough. The possibilities are endless! I would love to see some of your additions!

Ready for the final rise – sprinkle California Ranch EVOO, kosher salt, sliced jalapeños on top of the bread just before baking.  Parm is added at the end of baking so it doesn’t burn.
